Students must be directly connected to the Internet, not through a VPN or a Remote Desktop.\r\n Additionally, a slow or intermittent Internet connection may affect your virtual training experience.\r\n Students will need both an upload and download speed of 10Mbps or higher.\r\n A student’s Internet connection must also support WebSockets.\r\n
\r\nFrom inside our Virtual Training Platform, students will access our Virtual Classroom using GoToMeeting.\r\n This is where students will engage with the instructor-led learning portion of the class. Verify that you can effectively use GoToMeeting.\r\n If the system check was successful, join a test session to become familiar with the environment.
\r\nOften our students need to take advantage of our fully functional desktop environment in the cloud (Virtual Desktop).\r\n This is necessary when a student does not have access to their own (recent) license of SOLIDWORKS. A few of our classes require all students use the Virtual Desktop.\r\n It is very important to have a stable connection. Please run a latency test to verify your connection to our Amazon Web Services servers.\r\n Connection to Amazon EC2 US-West-1 is the most important (about 20th on the list).\r\n The latency speed should be well below 200ms. Note that this test may take a while to run.
\r\nHint: Cancel the Downlink test so that only the Latency test runs.\r\n
